Does the school have much involvement with St Michael’s Church?

We have very strong links with the church and St Michael’s is very much part of our school family.

There is a historical connection, in which the founding vision of the church, brought the whole parish community and teaching of the church together. This continues today.

  • School assembly is held at the church once a month (see our Dates for your Diary page) and family and friends are warmly invited to join us.
  • Family services at St Michael’s Church at 10am include special celebrations such as Harvest and Christingle

·  Our curriculum involves trips to the church e.g.children in Years 1 and 2 experience a mock baptism where they take on the roles of parents and godparents.

  • There are special weekend workshops organised by the church community including Mothers’ Day, Harvest and Christingle.

·   End of term services (usually on the last afternoon of each term) where parents and carers are invited to attend
